OVERVIEW:
Custom built log home on a 1.06 acre gardener’s dream lot in the much desired Sage Mesa Subdivision, just outside of Weiser city limits on a paved county road. The beautifully maintained landscape boasts a large parking area, front flower garden, fully fenced backyard and garden area. The intentional layout of each aspect of this property is incredible, from the espaliered fruit trees along the East boundary to well placed additional fruit trees, walnut trees, grapes, and raspberries. The hand built rock wall along the East side of the driveway lends perfectly for additional parking and RV parking. There are two rear decks to enjoy the mountain views. Lilacs line a portion of the West property boundary. The three spacious developed lawns are irrigated with an in-ground sprinkler system.
As you enter the home, you walk into a large great room with vaulted, tongue and groove ceilings, skylights, and a generous wall of windows. The kitchen is spacious with a dining area and pantry. The bedrooms, bathrooms, laundry and office make up the balance of the house. The orientation of the house ensures afternoon shade on the deck in the summer and sunlight to the kitchen and dining areas in the winter.
AREA OVERIEW:
Weiser, the Washington County seat, is the closest town to the property and accessible by county maintained paved and gravel roads. Optimally situated at the confluence of the Weiser and Snake Rivers, Weiser is a strong agricultural community complemented by a well-established and substantial business district. With a population of approximately five thousand, Weiser’s small town atmosphere makes it a great place to live while also providing most necessary services and shopping. Weiser Memorial Hospital, an affiliate of the St. Luke’s Health System, offers a full spectrum of healthcare services. Civic pride and community spirit are evident; this is a town that is involved and takes pride and active interest in the schools, parks and recreation programs, churches, senior center community events, institutions and programs. Famous for the National Old Time Fiddle Festival held each year in June, Weiser is a “hallmark” town with beautiful, tree lined streets and a plethora of history-rich architecture.
Weiser is at the southern end of the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area. Access to all sorts of outdoor recreation is extraordinary. The Payette National Forest along with State of Idaho and public lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management are accessible for hunting, hiking, horse-back riding and exploring. Mann Creek Reservoir and Crane Creek Reservoir are two of the many reservoirs open for recreation in the area. Brownlee Reservoir, on the Snake River, is a magnificent facility known for bass and crappie fishing. For snow skiing and water sports, McCall is a popular mountain retreat town 80 miles north.
Weiser offers a general aviation airport with a 4,000 foot runway. Boise, Idaho’s capitol city, is approximately 70 minutes east of the property via State Highway 95 and Interstate 84 and home to the state’s largest airport, which offers a full range of commercial air services.
